Whereas our whole family would enjoy an evening at the movies, it is quite uncommon for that to happen nowadays. I guess that shouldn't be a surprise, as the features you get on a home theater system nowadays can give you the same type of experience you would have got if you'd gone to the cinema, and for far less money. We have bigger televisions that are actually all screen and offer much of the same viewing pleasure as the big screen at the theater did. Surround sound has also taken home viewing to a different level. This is something that was considered a novelty in our childhood days and now it is tough to find a home that does not have a surround sound system inside of it. This allows movie viewing with the true theater experience and really makes the thought of paying about $10 for a movie all but out of the question. The biggest change in how we watch our movies nowadays has been brought about by our ever increasing use of the Internet. The Internet means that can pretty much see any movie we want, any time we want. We can rent and buy movies now more conveniently than we have ever been able to in the past. Internet technology has without doubt improved our movie watching experience tremendously. Instead of having to put the date on the calendar, going to the movies is now as easy as a simple click.
